Argos Soditic acquires Revima group
Argos Soditic has acquired France-based aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul provider Revima group, investing alongside management.
The transaction represents an exit for CM-CIC Investissement after a six-year holding period.
The acquirer has entered into exclusive negotiations over a deal for the company, with the transaction expected to close by summer 2017.
It would see Argos Soditic take a controlling stake in the group, with company heads Olivier Legrand and Chrsitian Grzanka retaining significant stakes, the GP said.
When the transaction closes, Grzanka will become chairperson of the supervisory board alongside Argos Soditic partners, while Legrand will be appointed CEO of the group. Company management and staff will remain in place.
With the new financial support, Revima will invest in improving and modernising its services. With around 95% of its revenues currently generated abroad, the group will also aim to continue its international expansion, with a particular focus on the Asian market.
Previous funding
According to French corporate finance publication CF News, CM-CIC invested €2m in Revima (then known as Brotonne Capital) in June 2011. The company rebranded as Revima immediately following the deal.
Company
Founded in 1952 and based in Caudebec-en-Caux, Normandy, Revima provides aerospace maintenance, repair and overhauls, and focuses primarily on auxiliary power unit and landing gear products. Services include logistics, on site support, and "by the hour" assistance. Its customers typically operate within the commercial and military sectors.
In 2010, Revima created Normandy Aero Spares, which trades serviceable parts. The Revima group manages two facilities in Caudebec-en-Caux, with extra commercial and customer support offices in Asia, the US and the Middle East. It employs more than 600 employees and generated revenues in excess of €200m in 2016, according to a company statement.
