EdRip acquires Klaxcar
Edmond de Rothshild Investment Partners (EdRip) has taken a majority stake in French auto parts provider Klaxcar.
EdRip is acquiring the shares from Klaxcar's founding Mizrahi family, including CEO Cédric Mizrahi, who retains his role and invested alongside the GP.
The GP draw the equity from its small-cap fund Cabestan Capital II, closed on its €165m hard-cap last year. It is the third transaction completed with the vehicle, after software company Otium and Belgium-based electrical components producer Advanced Circuit Boards last year.
Cabestan II invests for both minority and majority stakes in companies with a turnover between €10-100m, committing equity tickets ranging from €4-10m in first investment rounds, and of up to €16m in subsequent rounds.
The business will pursue its international roll-out, strengthening its existing locations and targeting new ones, such as Latin America. Klaxcar said it would also look to enhance the standard and quality of its services.
Debt
A senior debt package provided by Caisse d'Epargne Ile-de-France supported the transaction.
