
CM-CIC invests in Labellemontagne
CM-CIC has acquired a minority stake in ski resort business Labellemontagne.
Several of the company's existing shareholders – Caisse d'Épargne Rhône-Alpes Entreprises, Rhône-Alpes PME Gestion and BPI France – joined CM-CIC's minority buyout, putting in more capital.
BPI invested through its France Investissement Tourisme fund and l'Institut Lorrain de Participation fund.
The Remy family remain the majority shareholder. The investment will be used to consolidate the firm's core business and expand some if its resorts. It is also considering plans to diversify into other recreational activities.

Founded in 1961 in the Vosges Mountains, Labellemontagne's turnover was €73m in 2016, according to a statement. It currently manages 11 stations over four massifs. As well as its sites in the Vosges, it also has operations in Pays de Savoie, Hautes Alpes and the Piemonte region of Italy.
