Jolt Capital holds final close on €83m
Jolt Capital has held a final close for its Jolt Capital III fund on €83m, exceeding its hard-cap of €82m.
Managing partner Jean Schmitt confirmed the investment period is three years and terms follow the 2-8-20 standard.
The relatively fast closing of the fund was part of Jolt's strategy of having small funds with a lifespan of seven years, rather than 10. The fund held a first close on €72m in July this year.
Jolt now manages more than €150m. The GP's previous fund, Jolt Capital II, closed on €45m.
Placement agent Azla supported the fundraising.
Investors
LPs include Access Capital Partners, Temasek, a French insurance company and French and Nordic family offices, among others.
Investments
Less than 10% of the fund has already been deployed. Jolt Capital III will follow a strategy similar to the GP's previous funds, focusing on technology businesses aiming to make international acquisitions.
The fund will be investing €7-15m in six or seven companies, according to the GP.
