Siparex sells Francetruck to trade
Francetruck, a French heavy-handling equipment rental and maintenance service backed by Siparex, has been sold to corporate Groupe Manuloc.
Siparex provided €4.5m in funding from its Siparex MidCap Fund II to Francetruck in Q1 2014, according to Unquote Data.
Manuloc, currently backed by CM-CIC Capital Finance, has bought Francetruck for an undisclosed sum. Established in 1964, Manuloc provides industrial customers with handling equipment, such as forklifts, through both direct sale and leasing. The firm generated approximately €300m in annual revenues as of Q3 2017.
CM-CIC provided further backing to Manuloc when it invested €85m in the business in H2 2017. It still holds a minority stake, with the Barthélemy family owning the remainder.
Siparex previously held a minority stake in Manuloc from 2002-2013, before selling its stake to existing backer CM-CIC and reaping a multiple close to 5x its original investment.
