
CM-CIC invests €9.5m in Index Education
CM-CIC Investissements has acquired a minority stake in French education software publisher Index Education, investing €9.5m.
The owner buyout sees management retaining a majority stake in the company.
Senior debt for the transaction was provided by CIC and CIC Lyonnaise de Banque. The amount of debt provided is around €6m, according to French publication Capital Finance.
The backing of CM-CIC will support the company in its expansion in France and other European markets.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Marseille, Index Education is a publisher of educational software for school principals, teachers, administrative staff, parents and students. It develops three softwares: EDT, Pronote and Hyperplanning. Having generated a turnover of €17m in 2017, the company employs 100 staff.
