Arkéa Capital backs Lumiplan in MBO
Arkéa Capital has bought a stake in Lumiplan, a French communications service for transport networks, investing alongside management.
Arkéa has invested €2m in the business in exchange for a significant minority stake.
The management team will retain the remainder, with founder Jacques Daniel retaining a significant minority stake and serving as chairman.
Company
Founded in 1972, Lumiplan provides electronic solutions (display technology, channel driver board), computer systems and engineering (software, electrical, environmental) services to the transport sector and ski stations.
The company generates €40m in turnover and employs 200 people. It supports public transport networks in France and Italy, but also in Africa and Asia. Lumiplan also serves ski resorts in the US. A quarter of its turnover is generated outside France. The business is based in Nantes.
