
I Squared backs carve-out of trailer leasing specialist TIP
US-headquartered I Squared Capital has wholly acquired Netherlands-based trailer leasing business TIP Trailer Services from Chinese conglomerate HNA Group.
I Squared is an infrastructure investor with more than $12bn in AUM, focusing on energy, utilities, telecom and transport. It used its ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II to invest in the business.

Founded in 1968 and based in Amsterdam, TIP is a trailer leasing, maintenance and repair service to transportation and logistics customers.
The business operates 66,000 trailers and 86 trailer service centres serving 7,700 customers. TIP has centres in 16 European countries and Canada.
