
Montefiore backs Groupe Premium
Montefiore Investment has bought a majority stake in French insurance business Groupe Premium, investing alongside management.
Monferiore bought a 70% stake in the business, while management retained the remainder, a source close to the deal told Unquote.
A spokesperson for the GP confirmed that Montefiore Investment IV was the vehicle used for the transaction. The fund typically targets companies with a turnover within the €20-200m range and an EBITDA ranging between €3-30m, providing equity tickets of €10-50m.
The change of ownership has seen Arca Patrimoine, the company's main insurance division, rebrand to Predictis. The division operates savings and pension schemes, as well as property and life insurance services.

Founded in 2000 and based in Boulogne Billancourt, Groupe Premium is a holding company composed of 11 businesses. The companies provide a diversified set of services, including life and medical insurance, and savings and pension schemes. The group posted a turnover of €25m in 2017 and employs 300 people.
