Activa, BPI France invest in Active Assurances
Activa Capital and BPI France have acquired a joint stake in France-based motor insurance broker Active Assurances.
Following the deal, Activa and BPI will join the founding shareholders in Active Assurances in a bid to help support the company in developing its current market position. The company notably intends to launch new products and distribution channels.
The transaction is the seventh acquisition from Activa's latest vehicle, Activa Capital Fund III, which held a final close on €220m in October 2015.
A senior debt package was provided and co-arranged by BNP Paribas and Banque Populaire Rives de Paris.
Company
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Boulogne-Billancourt, Active Assurances is an insurance brokerage company focused on motor insurance. It works with insurance companies and develops products, distributes them online, manages the policies and cash flows, and sometimes handles claims.
The firm extended its services to the distribution and management of white-label insurance policies for large brokers, insurers, and mutual insurance companies in 2016. It also operates an offshore management centre with 100 employees.
