
Montagu acquires Maincare
Montagu Private Equity has entered exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of France-based Maincare from Symphony Technology Group, along with the company's management.
With the fresh capital, Maincare intends to consolidate its position in the healthcare digitalisation support sector and accelerate its international expansion.
Montagu is currently investing from its latest fund, Montagu V, which closed on its €2.75bn hard-cap in mid-2015. The vehicle targets European buyouts valued in the broad €100m-1bn range.
Company
Based in Canéjan, near Bordeaux, and founded in the 1990s, Maincare specialises in hospital administration software and electronic patient records for the healthcare sector in France. The company, which employs 600 people, has recently started its international expansion by acquiring its first clients in Luxembourg. Maincare generated sales of €69m in 2017, up 10% on the previous year.
