
Isatis Capital backs Next Group
Isatis Capital has acquired a stake in France-based education business Next Group.
The GP is currently investing via its Crescendo fund, launched in 2016 with a €100m target.
France was home to several investments in training and education businesses announced over the summer. According to Unquote Data, Capital Croissance acquired a minority stake in online courses provider Toutapprendre.com as part of an owner buyout in September. In July, Andera Partners bought a majority stake in distance learning specialist Skill & You. In June, Amundi Private Equity bought a minority shareholding in 3W Academy, a school dedicated to professional training in web and mobile development.
Company
Founded in 2012 and based in Paris, Next Group operates four schools in Paris, providing courses for professionals related to IT, web and multimedia, business management and pedagogy, among other topics.
Next Group's teaching method is to use blended learning that mixes face-to-face teaching and distance learning via a digital platform. The business relies on 270 teachers and generates a turnover of €11m.
