
PE-backed Creations & Parfums buys Floressence
BPI France and BNP Paribas Developpement have bought minority stakes in Creations & Parfums, a France-based perfumery, cosmetics and personal hygiene products specialist, which has acquired local competitor Floressence.
Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur and BPI France Financement have provided debt for the transaction, allowing Creations & Parfums to acquire Floressence.
The business resulting from the merger of Creations & Parfums and Floressence, whose products are very similar but serve different geographies, is aiming to generate revenues of around €40m in the medium-term and launch operations in South America and Canada.

Founded in 1983 and located in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, Créations & Parfums manufactures products related to perfumery, cosmetics and personal hygiene, as well as detergents, candles and scented bouquets. The company employs 48 people and exports goods to Africa and the Middle East. It generates 75% of its sales abroad and posted €10.2m turnover in 2017.
Floressence produces fragrances for perfumery, cosmetics, personal hygiene products, detergents and candles. The business reported €13.3m turnover in 2017.
