
UI Gestion, Alliance Entreprendre back Treo BIMBO
UI Gestion and Alliance Entreprendre have acquired a majority stake in France-based Italian food supplier Treo, in a buy-in management buy-out transaction.
The transaction sees the appointments of Thierry Girardeau and Dominique Marrast as director and sales manager respectively. They have acquired minority stakes in Treo.
Girardeau previously led the France Granarolo Group, a supplier of fresh Italian products to supermarkets.
Treo's founders, Nello Arpino and Angelo Morgill, have both retained minority stakes in the company.
UI Gestion is familiar with the agribusiness sector, having backed grill restaurant chain Restaurants La Boucherie and livestock watering trough specialist Sofilab in 2017, and poultry processor Anjou Volailles in 2016.
Company
Founded in 1997 with headquarters in Paris, Treo supplies food products including pasta, pizza, cheese, sausages and antipasti, some of which are gluten free or organic.
The business generates sales of €11m and, according to its website, it employs 23 people.
