Omnes, BIP buy Captain Tortue
Omnes Capital and BIP Capital Partners have teamed up on the acquisition of women’s fashion retailer Captain Tortue.
The founders, Philippe and Lilian Jacquelinet, have reinvested for a significant stake alongside Omnes and BIP.
Omnes drew capital from its Omnes Croissance 4 vehicle, a mid-cap fund that closed on €230m in January 2017.
The GPs said in a statement that they would support the digital transformation and modernisation of the company as well as its international expansion.

Captain Tortue was founded in 1993 and is based in Aix-en-Provence. It sells women’s fashion directly through its network of 4,000 style consultants that organise fashion workshops at host houses. Its collections are sold in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain and the UK.
