
Omnes, BPI France back UnitE
Omnes Capital and BPI France have acquired a minority stake in France-based UnitE, a renewable energy producer specialising in hydropower.
Omnes (through its Capenergie 3 fund) and BPI France (through its France Investissement Energie Environnement (FIEE) fund), are jointly acquiring a minority stake in the business.
Capenergie III held its final close in 2017 on €245m, while FIEE was announced in 2017 with a target of €100m and invests €500,000-7m for minority stakes in SMEs.
The company is planning to develop power plants in France and expand abroad.

Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Lyon, UnitE develops, builds and operates mid-sized hydropower plants, while also being active in the onshore wind, solar power and tidal energy sectors. With 64 production sites (including 47 directly owned by the group), the company achieved a turnover of €26m in 2017.
