
Siparex backs Valentin Traiteur in MBO
Siparex has acquired a minority stake in France-based Valentin Traiteur, a fresh food provider for retailers.
CEO Emmanuel Brochot will retain a controlling stake in the business.
The GP is using its Siparex ETI 4 fund – closed on €315m in 2017 – to invest in the business. The vehicle typically invests tickets of up to €30m.
Siparex's backing will help the business reinforce its presence in Germany and continue its penetration of the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

Based in Mably, the Valentin Traiteur group is a fresh catering specialist, with specific expertise in pastries and snacking products. Its main customers are French supermarket chains, but also retailers based in neighbouring countries (around 10% of sales turnover), catering businesses and some wholesalers.
Since 1993, the business has been owned by its current CEO. Valentin Traiteur employs 300 people and generated a €75m turnover in 2018.
