
Bridgepoint buys minority stake in Bee2link
Bridgepoint Development Capital has acquired a minority stake in France-based Bee2link, a software provider to the automobile industry.
Xavier Cotelle, founder and CEO, and the management team reinvested significantly in the transaction and will continue to manage Bee2link.
Bridgepoint made the investment via its £600m Bridgepoint Development Capital III fund, closed in 2016, Unquote understands. The vehicle seeks to invest between £20-75m in companies with enterprise values between £30-125m.
Idinvest supported the transaction via an unitranche financing, a person familiar with the sitution told Unquote.
The GP will support Bee2link in opening more European subsidiaries, entering new automobile market segments and developing its technical expertise.

Founded in 2012 and based in Lille, Bee2link operates within the automotive retail sector, providing software platforms and digitalisation advice.
The business has been supporting automobile manufacturers in France since 2013 and has also been present in Belgium and Switzerland since 2018.
