Paluel-Marmont Capital to buy Securinfor in SBO
French GP Paluel-Marmont Capital (PMC) has announced its intention to acquire a majority stake in Securinfor, an IT outsourcing and telephony services provider, investing alongside the company's management.
Private equity firms Axio Capital, Capitem Partenaires and Swen Capital Partenaires – which backed an LBO transaction in 2016 – as well as retiring president Michel Meunier, are expected to exit the capital, according to a statement.
Rui Neves will replace Meunier as the company's president.
The business was listed on Euronext Paris in 2001 and is currently still listed, despite the ownership of PE investors since 2016.
Some of PMC's most recent investments include Snetor and Sogetrel, backed in 2018.
Previous funding
Axio, Capitem and Swen backed Securinfor in 2016, taking a 90% stake in the group.
The primary deal saw Axio lead the investment and become the majority shareholder. As part of the transaction, company chairperson Farid Allani exited the group and passed on the leadership to Michel Meunier, previously managing director at Securinfor. The balance of the company's share capital (around 10%) went to Meunier.
At the time, the firm was registering €18m in revenues and forecasting €22m for 2017. The business was aiming to hit the €50m mark in the following three to four years and increase its staff from 270 to 400, according to a company statement.
Company
Created in 1986 and based in Rungis, Securinfor provides management and maintenance of computer networks. Specifically, the company offers hardware and technical assistance, as well as the maintenance and handover of equipment and systems services for information technology networks.
Securinfor's market cap stood at €32.6m as of 18 March. The company recorded a €25m turnover in 2018 and employs 380 people.
