Sparring, Socadif buy Cesa-cap in SBO
Sparring Capital and Socadif have acquired a stake in France-based Cesa-cap, an electrical engineering company, from Capzanine, SG Capital Partenaires and the founders.
President Franck Petit and managing directors Fabrice Gate and Vanessa Vieira, as well as private equity Socadif, acquired a minority stake in the company.
Previous funding
ActoMezz acquired a minority stake in Cesa-cap in 2010 alongside the company's management. Capzanine then became its new majority backer in 2014, while Societe Generale Capital Partners invested both equity and mezzanine in the transaction, becoming a minority shareholder and mezzanine provider.
Company
Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Meudon, Cesa-cap (previously known as Carrera group) specialises in heavy and light electrical current installations. The group consists of four companies, namely Cesa (electrical refurbishment works, tertiary and residential sectors), Perrin (electrical refurbishment works, low-cost/subsidised housing sector), Meusnier (new electrical installation works, new-build residential sector) and Deletre (refurbishment of electrical mains).
The group generated a turnover of €52m in 2018 and employs 250 people, according to Capzanine's website.
