LBO France buys majority in Eurotab
LBO France has acquired a majority stake in Eurotab, a specialist in compacted powder tablets for house cleaning, investing alongside the management team.
This acquisition is part of LBO France's small-cap strategy. The GP's small-cap team is currently investing via the Small Caps Opportunities fund, which closed in Q4 2018 on €104m.
The fund has also invested in Bluclad, Group Infodis and Passman.
The GP will support the business in fostering its organic growth and targeted external growth operations.
Company
Founded in 1957, the Eurotab group designs and produces a range of house cleaning tablets, including detergent tablets for dishwashers and washing machines, anti-limescale products, bleach, and moisture-absorbing tablets. Its products are marketed as environmentally friendly. For example, its products are very compact, which means they can be transported more effectively, therefore creating a lower carbon footprint. Also, for most products, packaging is made of cardboard instead of plastic.
Eurotab generates 65% of its turnover abroad and has a strong presence in Turkey, where it also has a large production site. The firm employs 210 people and generated a turnover of around €49m in 2018, up nearly 15% compared to 2017.
