Seventure launches Sport & Performance Capital fund
Seventure has launched a new fund dedicated to the sports economy, Sport & Performance Capital, with an €80m target.
The fund's advisory committee is made up of Caisses d'Epargne executives, sportsmen or former high-level athletes, and Seventure Partners professionals.
Seventure has previously focused on companies in the health, food, nutrition and digital technologies sectors. The GP's latest fundraising effort was the launch of Health for Life Capital II fund in March 2019.
Investors
Caisses d'Epargne has made commitments to the vehicle. The fund is intended to be open to other investors and in particular to institutions related to the Groupe BPCE banking group, including the Banques Populaires.
Investments
The vehicle will aim to finance around 15 companies, startups and SMEs based in France, operating in the field of sport or well-being.
The investment period of Sport & Performance Capital will run until July 2024, the date of the Paris Olympics. The fund will continue to financially support the development of selected companies until 2029.
