
Initiative & Finance backs Ymag
Initiative & Finance has invested alongside management in France-based Ymag, a company providing software products to training businesses.
The transaction sees the company's founder, Patrick Ayroulet, sell his stake in Ymag to the GP and management team, led by Frédéric Chollet, who is now president of the group.
The GP has acquired a majority stake in the company, according to French publication Capital Finance.
Initiative & Finance is currently investing via its Initiative & Finance II fund, which closed on €168m in 2015. The small-cap fund typically writes tickets of €2-15m.
Company
Founded in 1979 and based in Dijon, Ymag develops software used by companies delivering training for professionals. Some of its clients are based in Switzerland, Belgium and Morocco.
The business generated a €8m turnover in 2018 and employs 90 people, according to its website.
