Andera sells Groupe Bacacier to trade
Andera has sold its minority stake in France-based metallic cladding specialist Groupe Bacacier to Kingspan Group, an Ireland-based construction materials company.
Jean-Christophe Vigouroux, the founding president of Bacacier, has remained a shareholder and executive chairman of the business.
Founded in 1965 and based in Kingscourt, Kingspan specialises in insulation and building envelope products for the construction market.
Previous funding
Andera acquired a minority stake in Bacacier in Q2 2017 via its Winch Capital 3 fund, which closed in 2014 on €300m. The vehicle typically provides equity tickets of €7-25m. The transaction saw the Bacacier group, previously wholly owned by founding chairman Jean-Christophe Vigouroux, open its capital to an external investor for the first time.
Company
Founded in 1995, Bacacier is a metallic cladding specialist, providing services related to roofing, facades and cladding, structural floors, and false ceilings. According to its website, the company generates a €175m turnover and employs 420 people. The business is headquartered in Aigueperse and Paris.
