Activa Capital, Arkéa invest in Ingeliance
Private equity firms Activa Capital and Arkéa Capital have acquired minority stakes in French engineering service Ingeliance.
Activa deployed capital from its €206m third fund to finance this deal. The vehicle invests in French companies with an enterprise value of €20-100m.
Senior financing was provided by Banque Populaire Grand Ouest and Arkéa Banques Entreprises et Institutionnels.
Following the deal, Activa will become the main shareholder of the company alongside founder Jean-François Clédel, CEO Marc Poullin and the management team. Arkéa, which already owned a minority stake in the business, will reinvest alongside Activa. The two GPs will own a combined 50% stake in the company.
Ingeliance intends to further boost its growth and pursue an active acquisition strategy both in France and internationally. Activa plans to contribute to this expansion plan with its know-how, particularly in targeting and executing external growth operations.
Previous funding
Arkéa invested €5m in Ingeliance in November 2015. The buyout was supported with a senior package supplied by Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels and Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique.
