
Calao Finance backs acquisition of Raidlight-Vertical
Private equity firm Calao Finance has backed the acquisition of the French outdoor sports and clothing brands Raidlight and Vertical from Rossignol Group.
According to the French website Trails Endurance, former managing director Vincent Thibaudat, Raidlight founder Benoit Laval and 20 private investors also joined as shareholders.
Raidlight and Vertical were since 2016 owned by Rossignol Group, a French winter sports company majority-owned by private equity firm Altor.
Rossignol said in a statement that the company sold the divisions to refocus on the Rossignol brand and to accelerate the development of its summer collections.

Founded in 1999 and based in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, Raidlight along with its brand Vertical, is a retailer of outdoor sports equipment and clothing. It sells its products in more than 75 countries and generates revenues of €8m. The company employs 24 staff.
