Omnes, BPI France sell Somos to trade
Investors including Omnes and BPI France have sold their stakes in Somos Semiconductor to Switzerland-based trade buyer ST Microelectronics.
ST Microelectronics aims to expand its capabilities in front-end modules for the Internet-of-Things and 5G markets via the acquisition.
Previous funding
Omnes, BPI France and XAnge Private Equity invested in Somos in an early-stage round in 2010.
Company
Based in Marly-le-Roy, Somos is a fabless semiconductor company. It produces silicon-based power amplifiers for use in radio-frequency front-end modules.
