
Mutares to acquire Primetals Technologies France
Mutares has entered into exclusive discussions to acquire steel manufacturing machinery producer Primetals Technologies France in a carve-out from its parent company, Primetals Technologies.
The transaction is expected to close by February 2021, according to a statement, and remains subject to consultation with employee representatives.
The deal is to be Mutares' ninth acquisition of 2020, the GP said in a statement.

Founded in 1917 and based in Savigneux, Primetals Technologies France specialises in high-end steel processing line technology. The business produces machinery including presses, hot and cold mills for steel and non-ferrous metals, extrusion presses, as well as continuous casting equipment for steel and aluminium. The company also provides engineering and plant construction services. The company reports revenues of €55m and employs 300 people.
