
Apax to acquire BTP Consultants
Private equity firm Apax France will buy a controlling stake in French consultancy BTP Consultants, according to a document published by the local competition authority.
Apax acquires majority and significant minority stakes in mid-market businesses operating across the TMT, retail, consumer goods, healthcare and financial services sectors.
The GP is currently investing via two strategies: Apax Development Fund targets smaller businesses and held a final close on €255m in January 2020; while Apax France X held an interim close in March 2020 on €1.2bn, meeting its target. The fund has a hard-cap of €1.4bn and invests in businesses with enterprise values of up to €500m.

Established in 1996 and headquartered in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, BTP provides building information modelling (BIM), as well as other technical and consultancy services to the construction sector.
The group employs 500 staff across 26 branches.
