
Cap Grand Ouest 3 holds first close
Private equity firm UI Investissement has held an €18m first close for Cap Grand Ouest 3.
The fund was launched in March 2021 with a €40m target. It is managed by a team led by Lionel Robin, Julien Huberson, Côme de Lamberterie and Matthieu Le Campion.
Investors
Cap Grand Ouest 3 has built an investor base composed of around 30 LPs, primarily private investors that re-upped from the firm's previous vehicles.
Investments
Cap Grand Ouest 3 targets SMEs based across the French regions of Bretagne, Pays de la Loire and Normandie, generating revenues of at least €5m and with enterprise values of up to €20m.
The vehicle deploys equity tickets of €1-5m in growth capital transactions. It plans to build a portfolio of around 12 companies.
It has already made its first investment by acquiring a minority stake in Helpévia, a French consultancy specialised in the healthcare sector. The company was founded in 1980 and currently employs 75 staff, generating annual turnover of €38m.
