Gimv forms digital marketing agency Olyn
Belgian private equity firm Gimv has formed a new French digital marketing agency with EUR 35m in revenue through investments in four companies.
The GP has formed Olyn through investment in four French digital marketing agencies: Hipto, Avent Media, Skaze and Influens Network.
Gimv said that the newly formed group, which focuses on omnichannel customer engagement, has 350 clients across Europe.
Under the Olyn umbrella, the different companies will be independently managed but will share resources and talents.
The former COO of French laboratory group Laborizon, Christophe Bessac, will lead the Olyn group with Léo Hauet and Kilian Le Menestrel (co-CEO’s of Hipto), Harrys Melki (CEO of Avent Media Group) and David Levy (CEO of Skaze) retaining their titles.
From 2022, Olyn will pursue an acquisition strategy to bring complementary offers and expertise in new acquisition channels or new levers to improve the conversion rate of personalised marketing campaigns.
Discussions are ongoing with several potential targets, Gimv said, adding that these could be in France or abroad.
The firm also aims to double its number of employees over the next 18 months to 200.
Gimv said that the investment fits within its consumer platform, with investment themes linked to D2C brand strategies and digital.
