Activa's Findis acquires Ronzier
Activa Capital-backed Findis, a wholesaler of household appliances, has acquired France-based Ronzier.
The bolt-on is the second completed by Findis under Activa's ownership. Activa did not provide any additional funding to Findis for the acquisition.
Activa acquired Findis in April 2011 from its previous private equity owner, Abénex Capital, in a deal that valued the company at €85m. Activa invested in Findis via its €315m Activa Capital Fund II vehicle.
Following this, the firm provided additional finance to the company for the acquisition of audio-visual retailer Cocélec in January last year.
Company
Based in Bordeaux, Ronzier currently employs 28 staff and recorded turnover of €15m for 2012. The company supplies electrical appliances and audio-visual products.
People
Jean-Christophe Nicodème is the manager of Ronzier, while Frédéric Jumentier is the president of Findis. Olivier Nemsguern, Gautier Rousseau and Arnaud Randazzo led the original acquisition of Findis for Activa.
