
Siparex acquires Grontmij division for €71m
Private equity firm Siparex has acquired CEBTP, the French monitoring and testing business of Grontmij, for €71m.
The deal comprised €67m of equity and €4m of debt. Siparex invested alongside BPI France Investissement, Cathay Capital and BNP Paribas Développement.
Grontmij, a listed consulting and engineering company, has sold the division as part of its strategy to refocus on its core business activities.
Company
The French monitoring and testing division of Grontmij trades under the name CEBTP. The company employs 1,000 people and is headquartered in Elancourt. In 2012 the division generated total revenue of €109.5m and EBITA of €9.3m.
The monitoring and testing business focuses on the construction industry. It provides technical and scientific services though three business lines: geotechnics, diagnostics, and testing and certification.
