Generis to manage "socially responsible" fund
Generis Capital Partners has partnered with business network Réseau Entreprendre Ile de France to manage a new growth capital fund.
The vehicle has a target of €30-40m. Generis will donate 50% of its carry to Réseau Entreprendre Ile de France, a charity aiming to back small companies in the Ile de France region. Founded 25 years ago, the network of 600 volunteer entrepreneurs helps companies in their creation or development, and also awards them grants to facilitate their expansion.
Investors
The fund is open to retail investors, which will benefit from a 22% income tax rebate and a 45% ISF wealth tax rebate. In addition, Generis stated that several institutional investors are already keen to back the vehicle.
Investments
The vehicle will aim to make around 20 investments, injecting between €300,000 and €1.5m of equity in each transaction.
People
The fund will be managed by the Generis Capital Partners team, headed by managing partner Thibaut de Roux.
