Dorotennis (France) - Jan 2008

Argos Soditic has exited its 75% share of Dorotennis in a deal which saw the management sell its 25% stake and BCBGMaxAzria Group acquire 100% of the company. Fila Holdings SpA had initially acquired a majority share in the group in 1995 which it then ceded in 2000 in an Argos-led MBO. The MBO saw Argos take a 75% stake in Dorotennis for €13.5 while the management took 25%. Financial details of the exit were not disclosed.

Company

BCBP acquired Dorothée bis in 2003. The acquisition of Dorotennis means the two brands will now be reunited which will lead to a number of synergies in areas such as sourcing, product and distribution. Dorotennis specialises in female sport fashion and has a multibrand network of both owned and franchised stores. The brand will now seek to extend its growth in France as well as expand on an international scale. Founded in 1977 and based in Boulogne-Billancourt, Dorotennis employs around 100 people and had a turnover of €22m in 2007.

Louis Godron and Louis de Lestanville oversaw the deal for Argos Soditic. Isabelle de Bardies is president of Dorotennis.
