123Venture has invested €1m in a €1.5m seed round of funding for YESforLOV, an intimate cosmetic brand for couples. The other €500,000 was provided by the founders of online property search website Seloger.com. No further funding should be required. Olivier Goy of 123Venture knew YESforLOV’s founders when they set up e-commerce business Clust.

Company

Paris-based YESforLOV is a new cosmetics brand intended for sensual pleasure and well-being. In addition to a sweet and spicy eau de parfum christened Rejouissance, the company proposes a wide range of products including sensuous massage oil, intimate honey gel, deluxe condoms, moisturising lubricants and love vitamins. The company will distribute its products through a range of retailers, including a hotel chain, starting in March or April 2008. The business employs less than 10 staff. YESforLOV is expected to benefit from a relaxation of taboos surrounding sex toys.
