Headquartered in Marseille, Mobile Distillery was founded in 2005 by Vincent Berge and Eric Lemaréchal. The company specialises in software solutions for the platform fragmentation in the java mobile industry. Its product Celsius helps java mobile developers create individual platforms for more than 750 different handsets based on a single code source and art assets, meaning production time for developers will be drastically reduced. The investment will be used by the company to fuel its expansions plans which include the opening of a Paris office. Mobile Distillery will also seek to expand its international sales and marketing force, as well as its growth in North America and India where its technical and training support is to be outsourced. The company recorded a turnover of €600,000 in 2007 and expects to raise this figure to €1.3m for 2008.

Co-founders Eric Lemaréchal and Vincent Berge are respectively CEO and general manager of Mobile Distillery. Cyprein Roy worked on the deal for Viveris.
