Novalys, founded in 1998, designs software maintenance solutions and application security tools dedicated to PowerBuilder, PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, .NET and VB developers. The Boulogne- Billancourt-based company’s two main software products are Visual Expert and Visual Guard. Visual Expert aids the sharing of the knowledge of applications, automats impact analysis and also checks code quality, while Visual Guard is security program which can be adjusted to restrict access via manager permission and authentication codes. The investment will be used to continue the company’s expansion abroad through raising brand awareness and the development of its software solutions. Novalys will develop its flagship software progammes so that they support numerically based systems which are used by companies such Oracle, Sybase and Microsoft giving the company access to six million more users. Novalys employs 20 people and generated a €1.5m turnover in 2007, 40% of which came from exports.
