Chanteclerc (France) - Dec 2007

21 Centrale Partners has acquired almost 100% of Marseille-based health clinic Chanteclerc as the first step of its project to consolidate at least five top-end healthcare providers on the Cote d’Azur. The buyout house will invest between €30-50m on making acquisitions in this sector. The investment opportunity was sourced via Close Brothers, which ran a competitive auction. Banque de Neuflize provided a single-tranche of amortising to support the buyout, and is likely to be the lead lender on subsequent acquisitions.

Company

Chanteclerc is a health clinic comprising 113 beds, specialising in the orthopaedic and ophthalmologic fields, as well as physiotherapy. The medical centre generated €12.8m in revenues in 2006 and employs 150 staff. Bolt-on acquisitions will lead to administrative, logistics and technical synergies.
