OpenGate acquires B&M
OpenGate Capital has acquired French building materials business Bois & Matériaux (B&M) from listed parent Wolseley.
Completion of the deal comes after OpenGate entered a period of exclusivity with Wolseley in November 2015.
In addition to the purchase price, OpenGate has invested €25m in the business.
Company
B&M is a business-to-business distributor of building materials in France. It operates through two brands: Réseau Pro and Panofrance. It also runs a single-branch business, Guimier, which supplies architectural plaster moldings in Paris.
B&M is headquartered in Rennes and generates €600m in revenue. It operates from 138 sites and employs 2,500 people.
