
Isatis backs Groupe SMS
Isatis Capital has invested in Groupe SMS, a French provider of physical therapy equipment and sports medicine.
Isatis has bought its stake from an existing business angel as part of a shareholder reshuffle for the company.
According to Isatis, the company wanted an institutional shareholder that had experience in growing SMEs.
BNP Paribas has provided a debt package to support the acquisition via its Toulouse 31 branch.
Company
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Toulouse, SMS is a specialist in the distribution of sports medicine and products, as well as equipment for physical therapy.
The company recently acquired G2M, a company based in the Rhône-Alpes region, which has increased the company's turnover to €7m.

Pierre-Nicolas Lebas is the CEO of SMS. Isatis investment director Nicolas Schwindenhammer and associate Frédéric Tixier worked on the deal for the firm.
