Calao invests in Contrejour
French GP Calao Finance has provided shutters manufacturer Contrejour with fresh equity.
Calao invests via a range of FCPR, FCPI and FIP vehicles and targets French SMEs. Contrejour was already private equity-backed, having been the target of an MBI in 2007 that saw Croissance Nord Pas-de-Calais take a minority stake in the business.
The fresh funding provided by Calao will mainly be used to drive innovation and facilitate Contrejour's international development.
Company
Founded around 30 years ago, Contrejour manufactures shutters and blinds used in private homes. The company employs 33 people and generated revenues of €3.5m in 2012.
People
Loïc Bourdy is believed to have led the deal for Calao.
