Intel Capital leads €6.5m series-C for Movea
Intel Capital has led a €6.5m series-C funding round for French technology firm Movea.
Previous investors iSource and GIMV also participated in the round.
Previous funding
iSource and GIMV co-led a €7.3m round for Movea in January 2008, investing a total of €5m. The remaining €2.3m was provided by Technicolor SA (formerly Thomson SA) and the French research institute CEA. As part of the deal, Movea also acquired assets from a Technicolor SA subsidiary.
Company
Movea, founded in 2007, provides motion sensing and data fusion software, firmware and intellectual property for the consumer electronics and sports and fitness industries. The company is based in Grenoble, France.

Investment director Erik Jorgensen worked on the deal for Intel Capital.
