Access Capital closes EUR413m fund-of-funds
Fund
Access Capital Partners has closed its new fund-of-funds Capital Fund IV Growth Buy-out Europe on EUR413m. The fund was launched in July 2007 and exceeded its EUR300m target. The fund follows Access Capital Partners' previous fund which closed on 2006 on EUR307m also exceeding its EUR250m target (March 2007, Page 6).
Investors
Geographically investors were based in Europe. 40% of subscribers were German while 25% were French, a further 25% were of Nordic origin and 7% were English.
Investments
The fund-of-funds will invest in funds covering small to mid market buyout funds, as well as special situation funds. The fund is already one third invested and will continue committing to funds of sizes ranging between EUR100m-1bn that focus on European companies with an enterprise value of between EUR10-250m.
People
Access Capital Partners has a team of 30 people led by Dominique Peninon, Agnes Nahum and Philippe Poggioli. Benjamin Aller worked as legal adviser for the fund on behalf of SJ Berwin.
