Bridgepoint acquires La Compagnie du Ponant
Bridgepoint has entered exclusive talks to buy French cruise operator La Compagnie du Ponant from its parent company CMA CGM Group.
The deal is likely to complete by the end of August. Bridgepoint declined to comment further at this point.
The spinout is believed to have been motivated by CMA CGM's financial difficulties, which saw the company aim to refocus on its core container shipping activities.
