
Shopmium raises further €4.3m from VC backers
Ventech, Isai and Accel Partners have invested €4.3m in a series-B funding round for French mobile marketing software developer Shopmium.
Isai and Accel had previously invested €1.6m in Shopmium in 2011. Ventech is a new investor in the business.
This latest financing round would value Shopmium at around €15m, according to local press reports. The venture backers now hold a combined majority stake in the business.
Shopmium will now focus on accelerating its growth, notably by doubling its workforce. It will also aim to develop internationally.
Company
Established in September 2011, Shopmium has developed a mobile application enabling brands to send promotional offers directly to their customers via their smartphones. The company employs around 18 staff and is based in Paris.
People
Isai's Jean-David Chamboredon and Accel's Philippe Botteri sit on Shopmium's board. Ventech was represented by Alain Caffi.
