Sofinnova Venture has led a E15m round-c financing in Streamezzo. Original investors AXA Private Equity, I-Source Gestion, GET and Qualcomm have also invested in the round. France Technologies Investissments (FTTI) did not. Kuwait-based National Technology Enterprise Company (NTEC) was the only newcomer to the round. Previous rounds by the original partners consist of a €5m investment in 2004 and a €11m round in July 2006.

Streamezzo is the Paris-based leading provider of embedded rich media solutions and platforms for mobile communications founded in 2004. It focuses on the design, development and marketing of tools for mobile phones. Streamezzo provides a TV to mobile platform, as well as other rich media such as music applications, portals and user interfaces for enhanced browsing ergonomics. Streamezzo’s solutions boast both SFR and Vodafone as clients. Streamezzo has about 100 employees worldwide.

Alain Blancquart is the CEO of Streamezzo. Adnan Al-Sultan and Izzat Abou Amarah worked on the deal for NTec. Alain Rodermann and Jean Schmitt worked on the deal on behalf of Sofinnova.
