Omnes invests €1m in Prodealcenter
Omnes Capital has backed Prodealcenter, a French online retailer of agricultural parts, with a €1m investment.
Prodealcenter will use the fresh capital to expand its catalogue of products, as well as further develop its marketing and commercialisation activities.
The investment marks the first round of funding for Prodealcenter. The company's founder, Alexandre Richard, and his management team will remain majority shareholders following the capital injection, due to Richard's desire to maintain the company's independence.
Company
Prodealcenter was founded in 2010 and is based in Egly in northern France. The company operates a website that sells agricultural parts and accessories, such as wheelbarrows, fertilisation equipment and tractor parts.
The company offers online discounts as an incentive, selling its product base for 10-30% less than traditional distributors. Prodealcenter lists more than 40,000 references on its site and predominantly serves France, but also exports its products.
People
Alexandre Richard is the founder and president of Prodealcenter. Omnes director Xavier Brunaud and analyst Marine Huber worked on the deal for the firm.
