Mistral en Beauce (France) - Jan 2008

Platina Finance Limited has announced the exit of its Mistral Windfarm I fund from Mistral en Beauce. The company was acquired by gas and electricity company Poweo. The deal came at the same time as Platina annoiunced its exit of Ferme Eolienne La Remise des Bruyeres another wind farm which was sold to Dutch Infrastructure Fund (DIF) situated less than 1.5km away. Due to French law the wind farms had to be sold to different companies. In Q3 2007 Platina appointed Augusta & Co, to run a sale process which ultimately saw the business sold to Poweo.

Company

Mistral en Beauce situated in Louville has been operational since September 2006 and produces 24 MW. The Mistral en Beauce along with its sister company Ferme Eolienne La Remise des Bruyeres windfarm sites were acquired from Volkswind in 2005. Following the acquisition, Poweo now has windfarms totalling 41MW.
