EdRCP takes majority stake in EuroTechnoCom
Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners (EdRCP) has acquired a majority stake in French telecoms maintenance equipment company EuroTechnoCom (ETC).
Following the transaction, ETC will build its market position through strategic acquisitions.
Société Générale, LCL, Banque Populaire Rives de Paris and BNP Paribas provided a senior debt package. Société Générale was also co-arranger and agent of the transaction. LCL acted as co-arranger as well.
Company
ETC distributes equipment for telecoms maintenance. The Paris-based company caters to players involved in the local telecoms loop.
Formerly specialised in copper phone and cable networks, ETC now also services ADSL and optical fibre networks.
People
Eric de Montgolfier, Paul Barry and Thomas Moussallieh led the deal on behalf of EdRCP. Cedric Varasteh, co-founder and CEO of ETC, will remain in his role following the transaction.
